The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) recorded a strong operational finish in December, underscoring the growing strength, scale, and reliability of India’s Dedicated Freight Corridors.

During the month, DFCCIL operated 12,598 freight trains, averaging 406 trains per day, reflecting sustained high-capacity utilisation of the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors. The performance highlights the corridors’ critical role in ensuring seamless freight movement across the country.

The consistent operations have contributed significantly to improving logistics efficiency, reducing transit time and costs, and strengthening national supply chains, particularly for core sectors such as power, steel, cement, and manufacturing.

December’s results capped a year marked by momentum, resilience, and operational excellence for DFCCIL, reinforcing its position as a backbone of India’s freight infrastructure and a key enabler of the country’s economic growth.
