DP World has flagged off a full-rake refrigerated (reefer) rail service from its Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Modinagar to Mundra Port for Arkas Line and Parekh Global, strengthening multimodal connectivity for temperature-sensitive cargo moving from inland India to global markets.

The initiative combines strategically located inland container depots, dedicated rail connectivity and integrated logistics capabilities to improve transit efficiency and support more reliable cold-chain supply chains.

The rail-led reefer service offers significant potential for sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food and other temperature-sensitive commodities, enabling businesses to maintain product integrity while transporting cargo efficiently to international markets.

DP World aims to expand such partnerships and develop dependable, rail-based multimodal logistics solutions to enhance supply-chain efficiency and support India’s growing trade requirements.
