The BRICS Express service inherits the key strengths of COSCO SHIPPING’s Africa-bound operations—quick turnaround and reliable schedules—while placing a stronger focus on efficiency, stability, and environmental sustainability. Leveraging the scale benefits of its fleet of multi-purpose pulp carriers, the new route is designed to meet growing customer demand along the eastern coast of South America and establish a fast, dependable link between the two regions.

To ensure sufficient capacity, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers has deployed more than 40 large pulp carriers on the weekly route between China and Brazil. These vessels are operating on a fixed schedule, with guaranteed deliveries to major East South American ports within 30 days. This reliable transit time offers shippers enhanced predictability and service quality.

By opening this maritime corridor, COSCO SHIPPING aims to deepen commercial engagement between China and the South American continent, offering a fresh impetus for bilateral trade and strengthening supply chain connectivity across the Atlantic.
