A massive fire broke out at a logistics warehouse in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi taluka on Saturday morning. While no injury has been reported in the incident, local civic officials said the blaze has been labelled as a level-2 fire and fire-fighting operations are currently underway.

Sources from Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) said that the warehouse housed textile items, chemicals, and oil along with plastic items.

“The fire might have erupted from a short circuit. The presence of various combustible items like textiles and chemicals intensified the blaze,” an official said.

At present, six fire engines have been pressed into operation and civic officials maintained that the blaze is under control.
