Snowman Logistics said its credit rating has been reaffirmed by India Ratings and Research, reflecting the company’s stable operational performance and position in India’s temperature-controlled logistics sector.
According to the rating agency, the reaffirmation takes into account Snowman Logistics’ established presence in cold chain logistics, diversified customer base and improving utilisation levels across its warehouse network. The company operates temperature-controlled warehouses and distribution services that cater to sectors such as food processing, pharmaceuticals and quick-service restaurants.
India Ratings noted that the company continues to benefit from rising demand for organised cold chain infrastructure in India, driven by growth in processed foods, e-commerce grocery deliveries and pharmaceutical distribution. The agency also highlighted the company’s nationwide network of cold storage facilities and transportation services as key strengths supporting its operational stability.
At the same time, the rating assessment factored in challenges such as high capital intensity in cold chain infrastructure and exposure to fluctuations in demand from key customer industries. The agency said maintaining stable occupancy levels and prudent financial management would remain important for sustaining the current rating.
Snowman Logistics has been expanding its cold storage capacity across major consumption centres to capture increasing demand for temperature-controlled logistics services. Industry analysts expect continued growth in India’s cold chain market as supply chains modernise and food safety regulations tighten.
The rating affirmation indicates that the agency expects the company’s credit profile to remain stable in the near term, supported by steady demand from its core sectors and ongoing expansion of its logistics infrastructure.
