India’s engineering goods exports surged 13.8% year-on-year in July 2025, surpassing the $10 billion mark for the first time this fiscal, according to the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC).
Exports reached $10.43 billion in July, up from $9.16 billion in July 2024, reflecting robust demand from key markets including the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Brazil, and China.
Despite global trade tensions, rising US tariffs, and policy uncertainties, Indian engineering products maintained strong growth. Exports to the US increased 19% YoY to $1.81 billion, while shipments to Germany jumped 37.8% to $457.6 million. The UK saw a 46.5% rise to $402.5 million, Japan recorded a 55.2% increase to $256.6 million, and Brazil imports from India advanced 26.4%.
The strong performance underscores India’s growing competitiveness in high-value engineering goods and the resilience of its export sector amidst global trade challenges.
