Jupiter Wagons has secured an order worth ₹97.66 crore from GATX India, strengthening its order book and expanding its business in India’s growing rail freight equipment market.

The order is for the manufacture and supply of railway wagons to GATX India, a major rail asset leasing company. The contract highlights continued demand for freight wagons as India expands its rail-based logistics capacity.

    Boost to Freight Rail

The order comes amid sustained investment in India’s railway freight infrastructure and efforts to shift more cargo from road to rail. Modern freight wagons are expected to support more efficient movement of bulk and industrial commodities across the country.

For Jupiter Wagons, the contract adds to its portfolio of orders from private-sector customers and reinforces its position in the domestic rail equipment segment.

    Strengthening Rail Logistics

GATX India has been expanding its wagon leasing activities to support customers seeking dedicated rail freight capacity. New wagon deployments can help industries improve supply-chain efficiency while providing greater flexibility in cargo transportation.

The latest order is expected to contribute to Jupiter Wagons’ revenue pipeline as the company continues to expand its manufacturing and rail mobility operations.
