A.P. Moller–Maersk has announced a revision to its peak season surcharge (PSS) on the W1FW trade lane covering shipments to Senegal. The update applies to cargo moving from origin ports served under the W1FW service and reflects prevailing market conditions, capacity dynamics, and seasonal demand patterns.
Maersk said the revised surcharge is intended to ensure service reliability during the peak shipping period, when higher volumes and operational pressures typically impact network performance. The adjustment will apply to relevant container types and is in line with the carrier’s standard tariff and pricing framework.
The shipping line advised customers to review the updated surcharge details and effective dates through its official channels, noting that such revisions are part of ongoing efforts to balance cost recovery with consistent service levels on West Africa trade routes.
