Maruti Suzuki India Limited posted its highest-ever annual export performance in FY26, shipping 448,000 vehicles to overseas markets and reinforcing its role as a major contributor to India’s automotive export growth.

The record milestone reflects rising global demand for compact passenger vehicles manufactured in India, with exports spanning regions such as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Strong acceptance of fuel-efficient models, competitive pricing, and expanding dealer networks helped drive the company’s international volumes.

Industry analysts say the achievement underlines India’s emergence as a key production and export hub for small cars and affordable mobility solutions. Improved manufacturing efficiency, stable supply chains, and stronger port connectivity also supported the increase in outbound shipments.

Maruti Suzuki is expected to continue focusing on market diversification, new model introductions, and higher localization to sustain export momentum. The performance is also seen as a positive signal for India’s broader ambitions to strengthen its position in global automobile manufacturing and trade.
