India’s pomegranate exports are showing signs of gradual recovery as exporters adapt to changing global trade routes, evolving demand patterns, and logistics realignments across key markets. The rebound follows a period of disruption marked by higher freight costs, shipment delays, and shifting transit corridors.

Exporters are increasingly redirecting volumes through alternative ports and shipping lanes to maintain supply continuity to destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia, and neighboring Asian markets. Improved cold-chain handling and better cargo planning have also helped stabilize outbound movement of the fruit.

Industry participants say strong demand for Indian pomegranates, known for their quality and sweetness, is supporting the recovery. Buyers are also seeking diversified sourcing options, creating opportunities for Indian suppliers as global supply chains adjust to geopolitical and transport challenges.

Producers and exporters remain cautiously optimistic, though they continue to monitor freight availability, weather conditions, and market access requirements. Stakeholders believe sustained logistics improvements and market diversification will be key to strengthening India’s pomegranate export momentum in the months ahead.
