The Northern India Steamer Agents’ Association (NISAA) successfully convened its 40th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM), followed by the Executive Committee (EC) elections on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Hotel The Muse, Sarovar Portico, Chirag Enclave, New Delhi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all member lines.
The meeting began with a welcome address by NISAA President Mr. Sasi Nair, who highlighted the Association’s initiatives and achievements during 2024–25. He touched upon critical issues impacting trade, challenges in ICD and port operations, and emphasized the importance of digitalization in shipping services. Mr. Nair also reiterated NISAA’s commitment to representing the collective voice of its members before the Government, industry bodies, and stakeholders.
Mr. Shridhar Subramaniam, Secretary of NISAA, presented the audited balance sheet, audit report, and profit & loss account for 2024–25, along with the budget for 2025–26, which was approved unanimously by the members. The AGM also reviewed minutes of previous meetings and deliberated on pressing concerns related to trade facilitation, infrastructure bottlenecks, and member welfare. Members appreciated the transparency and structured conduct of the proceedings.
Delivering the Vote of Thanks, Mr. Atul Sachdev (Outgoing Vice President) expressed gratitude to all members for their active participation and acknowledged the contribution of the outgoing Executive Committee. He reaffirmed NISAA’s commitment to advancing the shipping industry in North India.
Following the AGM, elections were held for the new term. The process was smooth, transparent, and well-attended, with meticulous ballot counting ensuring fairness. Mr. Sasi Nair was elected unopposed as President for the 2025–2027 term.

With the conclusion of its landmark 40th AGM and the installation of a new Executive Committee, NISAA reaffirmed its role as a unifying platform for shipping and logistics stakeholders, committed to addressing industry challenges and steering the community toward future growth.
