Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has secured contracts worth more than ₹1,000 crore from NMDC Limited and West Central Railway, strengthening its project pipeline across the rail and mining infrastructure sectors.
The newly awarded projects include railway infrastructure development and associated works aimed at improving freight movement efficiency and supporting industrial logistics connectivity. The contracts are expected to contribute to capacity enhancement and operational modernisation across key transport corridors.
Industry sources said the orders underline growing investments in India’s railway expansion and mining logistics infrastructure as the country continues to focus on strengthening multimodal transport networks. Improved rail connectivity is also considered essential for faster movement of bulk commodities, including minerals and industrial cargo.
RVNL has been actively expanding its order book through participation in rail, metro, port connectivity and infrastructure development projects across India. Analysts noted that continued government spending on transport infrastructure is creating significant opportunities for engineering and construction companies involved in large-scale public projects.
The latest contract wins are expected to support RVNL’s revenue visibility while reinforcing its role in the execution of strategic transportation and industrial infrastructure initiatives.
