    The Tamil Nadu government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Larsen & Toubro for three major projects worth ₹18,600 crore, expected to generate around 8,200 jobs across the state.

    The agreement was signed by K.G. Sathyanarayanan, Head – Initiatives, Development Cell, L&T Construction, and Alarmel Mangai, Executive Director of Guidance Tamil Nadu, in the presence of C. Joseph Vijay and S. N. Subrahmanyan.

    The projects include:

    An electronics manufacturing hub in Coimbatore with an investment of ₹2,500 crore.
    A hyperscale and edge AI data centre in Kancheepuram with an investment of ₹15,000 crore, aimed at expanding the state’s digital infrastructure.

    An offshore wind infrastructure project at Kattupalli with an investment of ₹1,100 crore to support renewable energy development.

    The MoU marks a significant investment milestone for the state and is expected to strengthen Tamil Nadu’s manufacturing, digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence ecosystem, and renewable energy capabilities while creating new employment opportunities for its youth.
