TCI Sokhna Terminal has received three new mobile harbour cranes, increasing its total crane fleet to four and strengthening its capacity to handle bulk and general cargo operations.

Combined with the terminal’s 18-metre draft, the additional equipment will enable the facility to accommodate some of the largest bulk carriers calling at the port, including Capesize vessels.

The new cranes are expected to enhance cargo-handling capacity, improve berth productivity and reduce vessel turnaround times. The investment will support faster and more reliable services for customers across dry bulk and general cargo operations.

The development forms part of TCI’s long-term commitment to expanding and modernising port infrastructure in Egypt while supporting the region’s growing trade flows.

TCI acknowledged the contributions of its teams and partners in facilitating the delivery of the new cranes, marking another step in the terminal’s capacity expansion.
