An engaging and outcome-driven meeting was recently held at TKD, bringing together key representatives from the Northern India Steamer Agents Association (NISAA) and leading shipping lines. Participants included Sh. Sasi Nair (CMA CGM), Sh. Shridhar Subramaniam (KMTC), Sh. Suraj Tyagi (Evergreen), Sh. Nitin Chibber (Emirates), and Sh. Manoj Pillai (PIL).

The discussion centered on enhancing rail freight efficiency while reinforcing the sector’s role in building a greener and more sustainable logistics ecosystem. Stakeholders addressed complex operational challenges and explored practical strategies to increase the rail coefficient in freight movement.

Cluster Head TKD, Ms. Ritu Sharma, was commended for spearheading the initiative, which emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue between industry stakeholders. Highlighting the value of such engagements, Sanjay Swarup, CMD of Concor, noted that regular interaction is essential for driving meaningful improvements and long-term growth in the sector.

The meeting marks a significant step toward aligning operational efficiency with sustainability goals in India’s freight transportation landscape.
