Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) has successfully delivered Wilson Eco VI, the sixth and final vessel in a series of 3,800 DWT bulk cargo ships built for a prestigious Norwegian client, marking the successful completion of the project.

The delivery of Wilson Eco VI represents a significant milestone for UCSL, which completed the entire six-vessel series in just 440 days. The first vessel in the series was delivered on 23 April 2025, highlighting the shipyard’s ability to execute complex shipbuilding programmes within demanding timelines.

The achievement reflects UCSL’s growing capabilities in commercial shipbuilding and its commitment to delivering high-quality vessels on schedule for international customers.

In addition to the six bulk carriers, UCSL also delivered three tugs during the same 440-day period, taking the total number of vessels delivered to nine. The accomplishment underscores the shipyard’s operational efficiency, strong project management, and skilled workforce.

Expressing gratitude on the occasion, UCSL thanked its clients, stakeholders, employees, and well-wishers for their continued support in achieving this milestone.

The successful completion of the Wilson Eco series further strengthens UCSL’s reputation as a reliable shipbuilder in the global maritime industry and reinforces its position as an emerging player in India’s commercial shipbuilding sector.
