The Tourism Minister Sushanta Choudhury on Monday inaugurated the Domestic Aior Cargo Terminal in the MBB Airport, which will facilitate easy transportation of cargo. The cargo service will be handled by Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company Limited, an authorised agent of the Airport Authority of India.

It is expected that the Cargo Terminal will remove the problems being faced by the people in sending cargo. No other airlines except Indigo were taking cargo from Agartala. With the opening of the terminal, it is now expected that all the airlines will take the cargo.

Inaugurating the terminal, Minister Sushanta Choudhury said the opening of the Cargo service will come as a great help for the people, especially the business community. He said earlier, only the Indigo used to take cargo from the state. Now, two of their airlines operating from Agartala will also take cargo.
