Students from Gujarat Maritime University visited Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla on 6 October 2025 as part of an industrial exposure programme, gaining valuable insights into port operations and management.

The delegation from Deendayal Port Authority — Shri Atul Gupta, Shed Master; Ms. Varsha Sharma, Assistant Manager (Hospitality); and Mr. Ramji Bhardwaj, Assistant Manager (Hospitality) — interacted with the students, sharing practical knowledge on logistics management, operational workflows, and administrative functions within the port ecosystem.

The visit provided students with hands-on exposure to India’s dynamic maritime infrastructure and supply chain processes, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices.

The student group was accompanied by faculty members Prof. Dr. Tanuja Kaushik, Dr. Chirag Patel, Dr. Chandra Kant U., and Dr. Mayuri N., along with TRA and staff members — Mr. Nishant Manjanwal, Ms. Arundathi M S, Ms. Mili Trivedi, Ms. Shreya Kankas, and Mr. Bharatkumar Desai.

Gujarat Maritime University expressed sincere gratitude to Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, Chairman, Deendayal Port Authority, and Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Deputy Chairman, for their support and encouragement in facilitating this enriching learning experience.
