In a landmark development, Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla welcomed MV Capetan Vassilis II, India’s first Premium Products Vessel, which berthed at Cargo Jetty No. 02.

For the first time, premium crop nutrition products—traditionally transported in containers—are being shipped via a bulk carrier, marking a significant leap in supply chain efficiency and cost optimization.

This milestone highlights DPA’s growing role in strengthening India’s agri logistics ecosystem and ensuring smoother, large-scale distribution of high-quality inputs to farmers across the country.
