Shree Cement Limited has announced the commissioning of RAS Unit-11 at its integrated manufacturing facility in Jaitaran, Rajasthan, further expanding capacity at its largest and most advanced cement complex.

The newly commissioned unit adds 3.65 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of clinker capacity and 3.0 MTPA of cement capacity, strengthening clinkerisation and grinding operations at a single location. With this addition, Shree Cement’s total cement production capacity in India has increased to 65.8 MTPA, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s leading cement manufacturers.

RAS Unit-11 has been designed as a fully integrated facility to ensure efficient and reliable supply to key North Indian markets. The unit is equipped with advanced automation and modern infrastructure, including Pfeiffer raw and coal mills, an FLSmidth kiln featuring a six-stage preheater and DeNOx system, and an FLSmidth Cross-Bar® cooler with an intermediate Heavy-Duty Roller Breaker.

Energy efficiency at the unit is supported by a 22 MW waste heat recovery system, along with the use of alternative fuels, in line with the company’s sustainability initiatives.

Commenting on the development, Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director of Shree Cement Limited, said the commissioning of RAS Unit-11 reflects the company’s focus on disciplined capacity expansion and responsible resource utilisation, adding that the adoption of advanced technologies has enhanced operational efficiency and cost optimisation.

With long-term mining security, NABL-accredited quality systems and a skilled workforce, Shree Cement said it is well positioned to support infrastructure growth and meet rising cement demand across North India.
