Germany-headquartered global logistics and freight forwarding provider Drewes Logistics has established a wholly integrated subsidiary in India, effective January 1, 2026, following its acquisition of a majority stake in Logistics Plus India.

Operations across seven locations — New Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad — have been transferred to the newly formed Drewes Logistics India, fully linking the Indian entity with the group’s international network.

The Indian arm will focus on project logistics, ocean freight and airfreight, targeting opportunities in one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies, said Patric Drewes, Managing Director of Drewes Logistics.

Former Logistics Plus India Managing Director Sundreysh Sarup has been appointed head of Drewes Logistics India. The new entity employs 52 people.

Drewes said supply-chain diversification, geopolitical risk mitigation and emerging bilateral trade initiatives are driving European companies to expand operations in South Asia, boosting demand for globally integrated logistics providers with strong local market expertise.
