COSCO Shipping Bulk has launched a new regular direct shipping route connecting China and Libya, marking a significant step in strengthening trade connectivity between the two regions.

The new service will operate on a biweekly schedule, with cargo shipments departing from Guangzhou and reaching Benghazi in approximately 25 days. The route will call at major Chinese ports including Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Guangzhou before connecting to Libya’s key Mediterranean gateway cities of Benghazi and Misrata.

The launch of the direct service is expected to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce transit times, and support growing trade flows between China and North Africa. The route also strengthens maritime connectivity across the Mediterranean region while providing exporters and importers with more reliable and streamlined shipping solutions.
