Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from JSW (South) Rail Logistics Private Limited for the manufacture and supply of BFNSM1 rakes and BVCM wagons, with a total contract value of ₹253.28 crore, including taxes.

According to the company, the order is to be executed within 13.5 months from the effective commencement date. The contract has been awarded by a domestic customer and does not involve any related-party transactions.

The order further strengthens Texmaco Rail’s order book and highlights sustained demand for freight rolling stock amid increasing investments in rail-based logistics infrastructure across India. The company has been a key supplier of freight wagons and rail engineering solutions to industrial and logistics operators, supporting the expansion of efficient cargo transportation networks.

Industry observers note that the latest contract reflects growing requirements from large logistics and industrial players to enhance rail freight capacity as businesses seek cost-effective and sustainable transportation solutions. The addition of BFNSM1 rakes and BVCM wagons is expected to support bulk cargo movement and improve operational efficiency for the customer.

The order also provides improved revenue visibility for Texmaco Rail in the near term and reinforces its position in India’s competitive freight wagon manufacturing sector. The development is likely to be viewed positively by investors tracking the company’s growth prospects and participation in the country’s expanding rail logistics ecosystem.
