Pacific International Lines (PIL) has announced the launch of its new weekly Indonesia Thailand Service (ITS), further strengthening its intra-Southeast Asia network by providing direct shipping connections between Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
The new service will commence from Port Klang on 5 September 2026 and will enhance regional connectivity by linking six major ports across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Operated by three vessels, the ITS service will offer comprehensive weekly coverage, supporting the growing demand for efficient intra-Asia container transportation.
Commenting on the launch, Tonnie Lim, Chief Trade Officer of PIL, said, “The launch of ITS enhances PIL’s coverage within Asia and improves transit times for our customers. By expanding our competitive shipping solutions across Southeast Asia and seamlessly linking them to our global network, we are strengthening regional and international connectivity while creating greater value for our customers.”
The introduction of the new service comes amid increasing intra-Asia trade volumes and evolving customer requirements. By expanding its regional network, PIL aims to support sustainable trade growth while offering customers faster transit times and improved supply chain reliability across one of the world’s fastest-growing trade corridors.
The Indonesia Thailand Service (ITS) will operate on the following rotation:
Port Klang – Singapore – Laem Chabang – Bangkok – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Port Klang – Semarang – Surabaya – Port Klang.
The new service reinforces PIL’s commitment to enhancing connectivity within Southeast Asia while providing seamless links to its extensive global shipping network, enabling customers to benefit from more efficient and reliable logistics solutions.
