Hapag-Lloyd has announced revised Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) levels for shipments from Asia and Oceania to Conakry, Guinea, as the carrier adjusts charges amid changing market conditions.

The updated surcharge will apply to cargo loaded on board from August 12, 2026, and will remain in effect until further notice. Under the revised structure, Hapag-Lloyd will charge US$1,750 per TEU for dry, special and tank containers, while reefer containers will attract US$2,250 per TEU.

The higher charges will increase shipping costs for exporters moving cargo from Asian and Oceanian markets into Conakry. Hapag-Lloyd has advised customers to contact their local offices for further details based on individual shipments.

The revision follows previous PSS measures on Asia–West Africa routes, reflecting continued adjustments in carrier pricing for services into the region.
