Saudia Cargo has launched a new scheduled freighter service linking Dhaka, Bangladesh, with Frankfurt, Germany, strengthening air cargo connectivity between South Asia and Europe. The new route is designed to support growing freight demand between the two markets.

The Dhaka–Frankfurt service adds direct freighter capacity to an important trade corridor, providing exporters and freight forwarders with an additional option for moving time-sensitive and high-value cargo between Bangladesh and Europe.

Dhaka is a major export gateway for Bangladesh, particularly for the ready-made garment, textiles and manufacturing sectors. Additional dedicated cargo capacity can help exporters improve access to European markets, where demand for Bangladeshi products remains significant.

Frankfurt, meanwhile, is one of Europe’s leading air cargo gateways and provides extensive onward connectivity across the continent. The new service therefore gives shippers in Bangladesh access to a broader European distribution network.

The launch forms part of Saudia Cargo’s wider strategy to strengthen its international freighter network and increase connectivity across major cargo markets. The carrier is seeking to leverage its strategic position in Saudi Arabia to connect Asia, Europe, the Middle East and other regions.

The new route is expected to benefit both direct shippers and freight forwarders by providing greater capacity and routing flexibility for Bangladesh-Europe trade flows.

Saudia Cargo’s expansion also highlights the continued importance of dedicated freighter services as global supply chains seek faster and more reliable alternatives for international cargo movements.
