CULines is set to launch its new JSM (Japan–Straits–Malaysia) service on September 5, providing a direct and efficient connection between Japan and key markets across South Asia, the Middle East and the Red Sea.

The new service is designed to further strengthen CULines’ intra-Asia network and improve connectivity between Japan and emerging markets. The service will be operated through a slot-exchange cooperation with Ocean Network Express (ONE).

The JSM service rotation will be:

Tokyo – Yokohama – Nagoya – Kobe – Keelung – Hong Kong – West Port Klang – Singapore – Tokyo

The service will connect four major Japanese gateways—Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya and Kobe—with key Asian hubs. It will also provide efficient transshipment opportunities through West Port, Port Klang, enabling onward connectivity to markets in India, Pakistan, the Middle East and the Red Sea.

CULines said the new service will offer customers a more efficient shipping option between Japan and emerging markets, supporting growing trade flows across Asia and beyond.

With its strategic port rotation and connections through Port Klang and Singapore, the JSM service is expected to enhance CULines’ regional network and provide greater flexibility and efficiency for shippers moving cargo between Japan, South Asia, the Middle East and Red Sea markets.

The launch further underlines CULines’ focus on expanding its intra-Asia network and strengthening its role in connecting major Asian trading hubs with emerging global markets.
