V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) has recorded a significant 17.42% growth in Vinyl Chlorides cargo handling during the April–July period of FY 2026–27 compared with the corresponding period of FY 2025–26.
The strong growth highlights the port’s expanding role in handling industrial and chemical cargo and reflects its continued focus on improving operational efficiency, strengthening trade connectivity and facilitating seamless maritime logistics.
The increase in Vinyl Chlorides cargo movement comes amid the port’s ongoing efforts to enhance cargo-handling capabilities and provide efficient services to customers and trade stakeholders. Improved maritime connectivity and streamlined port operations are supporting the smooth movement of cargo through the gateway.
The performance also underlines the growing importance of V.O. Chidambaranar Port in supporting industrial supply chains and facilitating India’s trade with global markets.
