PTP Group has opened a €35 million refrigerated cargo terminal in Cádiz, Spain, expanding its cold-chain logistics capabilities and strengthening infrastructure for temperature-controlled cargo handling.
The new facility is designed to support the storage and movement of refrigerated goods, including food products and other temperature-sensitive shipments. The investment reflects growing demand for specialised logistics infrastructure that can maintain cargo quality throughout the supply chain.
The terminal has a capacity of 20,000 pallet positions across 12 refrigerated and frozen storage chambers. It also features 500 metres of quay, customs warehouses and a Border Inspection Centre for meat and plant products. These facilities are intended to streamline cargo inspection, storage and distribution.
The investment is expected to create around 35 direct jobs and a similar number of indirect jobs, according to the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz.
