Tuticorin: V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA), Tuticorin, has crossed the significant milestone of 25 million tonnes (MMT) in cargo throughput during the financial year 2026–27. The achievement was recorded on October 24, 2026.

The milestone reflects the port’s sustained operational performance and its continued efforts to strengthen cargo handling capabilities in support of India’s growing maritime trade.

The achievement further highlights VOCPA’s contribution to port-led economic growth, trade facilitation and the development of efficient maritime logistics infrastructure. As a key gateway for cargo movement in southern India, the port continues to play an important role in connecting Indian businesses with domestic and international markets.

Crossing the 25 MMT mark represents a significant milestone in the port’s growth journey during the current financial year.
