Karthas Academy, a new educational institution with a unique approach to skill development, has been inaugurated in the bustling port city of Kochi, located on Wellingdon Island. The Academy, led by experienced industry professionals, offers courses in two distinct but critical disciplines: (a) Shipping and Logistics, and (b) Interior Design.
The formal inauguration of Karthas Academy was marked by the presence of Paul Antony, IAS, the former Chief Secretary of the Kerala government, and Chairman of the Kerala Industrial Development Board. Antony inaugurated the Academy with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing a new chapter in education and skill development in the region.

The Chairman of Karthas Academy, C.S. Kartha, who boasts 40 years of extensive experience in the shipping industry, expressed his enthusiasm for the academy’s mission. He highlighted the need for hands-on training and education to meet the ever-evolving demands of the shipping and logistics sector.
Dr. Rema S. Kartha, the Managing Director of the Academy, brings 20 years of experience in the field of Architecture and Interior Design. Her vision for Karthas Academy is to provide aspiring interior designers with practical skills and knowledge to excel in the competitive design industry.
Karthas Academy collaborates with industry-leading organizations, including the National Skill Development Corporation, Logistics Skill Council, and Stead Council, to offer students a comprehensive and well-rounded education in both fields.
