The South Carolina Ports Authority (SC Ports) has announced delays at its marine terminals and inland port operations, including gates.

SC Ports noted that it is working hard to reestablish systems following a vendor software problem that affected a server.

As a result, no cargo will be picked up or dropped off until the issue is fixed.

A representative for SC Ports said: “We will communicate all updates to our maritime partners, customers and community members. We are focused on resuming operations expeditiously and delivering excellent port service to our ocean carrier and cargo owner customers. We appreciate the support of our maritime partners and the broader community.”

The first update on the delay of port and terminal operations was given on 19 May at 7:30 pm (local time).

In April, SC Ports registered steady container volumes, moving 215,058 TEU and 119,840 pier containers.
