TKM received the ‘Engines and Turbines & Parts Thereof – Large Enterprise’ award for 2019-20 and the ‘Gold Trophy’ for Top Exporters under the Merchant Exporter category for 2020-21.

These awards highlight the company’s contribution to India’s engineering exports. The engineering sector plays a significant role in the manufacturing industry, contributing substantially to the overall manufacturing output.

The awards were presented by Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India; Arun Kumar Garodia, Chairman, EEPC; Shashi Kiran Lewis, Deputy Regional Chairman, EEPC; and Raman Raghu, Regional Chairman, EEPC, at a ceremony in Puducherry. EEPC India is a trade and investment promotion organisation sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, promoting the Indian engineering sector and acting as a link between the government and the engineering community. The EEPC Export Excellence Awards aim to recognise member exporters for their performance in various engineering export categories.

The awards assess exporters based on parameters such as the FOB (Freight on Board) value of exports, products exported, and net foreign exchange earned. TKM showed significant growth in the FOB value of engine exports in 2019-20 and an increase in exports under the Merchant Exporter category in 2020-21, including engines and various parts.

G Shankara, Executive Vice President and Director, Finance and Administration at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, stated, “Receiving these awards from EEPC India is a testament to the company’s commitment to export excellence and its contribution to the state and national economy.”

Last year, TKM also received two EEPC National Awards for Export Excellence at the 52nd and 53rd editions of the Awards.
