AD Ports Group has announced a series of senior executive appointments within its Logistics Cluster, reinforcing its ambition to expand its global footprint in integrated port operations, maritime, and end-to-end logistics services.
The Logistics Cluster will be led by recently appointed Chief Executive Officer Jochen Thewes, who will focus on accelerating AD Ports Group’s growth in global logistics services. The cluster is anchored by Noatum Logistics, which AD Ports Group acquired in 2023 and has since positioned as a cornerstone of its international logistics strategy.
As part of the leadership expansion, Thorsten Meincke has joined Noatum Logistics as Executive Vice President – Ocean and Air Freight. Meincke brings more than two decades of experience across global logistics leaders, including DB Schenker and Kuehne + Nagel. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Management Board Member at DB Schenker, where he was responsible for global air and ocean freight operations.
Further strengthening the air freight vertical, Björn Eckbauer has been appointed Senior Vice President – Global Air Freight Development and Procurement at Noatum Logistics. A seasoned logistics professional with over 30 years of experience in air freight, Eckbauer previously held the role of SVP Global Operations & Procurement, Air Freight at DB Schenker.
In addition, Boris Kuehn has been named Senior Vice President – Mergers and Acquisitions. Kuehn joins AD Ports Group from Deutsche Bahn, the former owner of DB Schenker, where he led global corporate venturing and M&A for the transportation and logistics sector.
The appointments underscore AD Ports Group’s focus on building a strong, internationally experienced leadership team to support the rapid expansion and integration of its logistics and maritime services worldwide.
