Piraeus Port in Greece has hosted a delegation from Israel’s port and shipbuilding sector, underscoring efforts to deepen maritime cooperation and exchange expertise in port operations, logistics infrastructure, and shipbuilding technologies.

During the visit, the delegation engaged with port authorities and industry stakeholders at Piraeus to discuss operational best practices, terminal efficiency, and opportunities for collaboration in maritime innovation. The discussions also covered areas such as port digitalisation, sustainability initiatives, and ship repair capabilities.

Officials said the engagement reflects growing interest in strengthening bilateral maritime ties, particularly as global shipping networks continue to evolve and ports seek to enhance competitiveness through technology adoption and capacity expansion.

Industry participants noted that such exchanges can help improve operational standards and foster potential partnerships in shipbuilding and port management, while also supporting broader regional cooperation in the Mediterranean maritime sector.
