PSA has entered into a strategic partnership to develop a deep-sea container terminal in Hai Phong, reinforcing its commitment to expanding port infrastructure and strengthening maritime connectivity in Vietnam. The collaboration is expected to enhance the country’s role as a key logistics and manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia.
The new deep-sea terminal will be designed to accommodate larger container vessels, increase cargo handling capacity, and improve the efficiency of import and export operations. The project is also expected to strengthen supply chain resilience by providing enhanced connectivity to major international shipping routes.
The partnership aligns with Vietnam’s broader efforts to modernise its port infrastructure and support growing trade volumes driven by manufacturing, foreign investment, and export-oriented industries. Improved terminal facilities are anticipated to reduce congestion, optimise vessel turnaround times, and enhance the competitiveness of the country’s logistics sector.
For PSA, the investment expands its regional port network and reinforces its long-term strategy of supporting global trade through advanced and sustainable port infrastructure. Once operational, the Hai Phong deep-sea terminal is expected to facilitate increased cargo flows, attract additional shipping services, and contribute to the continued growth of Vietnam’s maritime economy.
