The Port of Long Beach has launched a public consultation process for the proposed redevelopment of Pier T, inviting feedback from community members, industry stakeholders, and regulatory agencies as it advances plans to modernise one of its key cargo handling facilities.

The redevelopment project is intended to enhance terminal capacity, improve operational efficiency, and support the growing demands of international trade. Planned upgrades are expected to include modern cargo handling infrastructure, improved logistics facilities, and measures to accommodate larger vessels while strengthening overall port performance.

As part of the consultation, the port is seeking input on the project’s potential environmental, social, and economic impacts. Stakeholder feedback will help inform the planning process and ensure the redevelopment aligns with sustainability objectives, community interests, and regulatory requirements.

The Pier T redevelopment forms part of the Port of Long Beach’s broader strategy to modernise its infrastructure, improve supply chain resilience, and advance environmental stewardship. Once completed, the project is expected to strengthen the port’s competitiveness, support regional economic growth, and enhance its ability to serve evolving global shipping and logistics needs.
