Realterm and the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) have entered into a strategic partnership to develop a new cargo facility at Harrisburg International Airport, aimed at strengthening the airport’s air freight capabilities and supporting the region’s growing logistics sector.
The planned state-of-the-art facility will feature modern cargo handling infrastructure designed to accommodate increasing freight volumes while improving operational efficiency for airlines, freight forwarders and logistics providers. The project is expected to enhance cargo processing capacity, streamline shipment handling and attract additional air cargo services to the airport.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding Harrisburg International Airport’s role as a regional logistics gateway. By investing in advanced infrastructure, Realterm and SARAA aim to create a more competitive environment for cargo operators while supporting businesses that rely on efficient air freight connectivity.
Industry stakeholders expect the new cargo facility to generate economic benefits through increased trade activity, job creation and improved supply chain performance. Once completed, the development will reinforce Harrisburg International Airport’s position as a key logistics hub in the northeastern United States, providing modern infrastructure to meet the evolving demands of the global air cargo industry.
