Transport Corporation of India (TCI) has reported a 9% year-on-year increase in revenue for the first quarter of FY2027, reflecting steady demand across its integrated logistics, freight, supply chain, and multimodal transportation businesses. The performance highlights the company’s resilience despite evolving market conditions and ongoing global supply chain uncertainties.

Revenue growth was supported by improved freight movement, expanding contract logistics operations, and higher demand from key sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods, retail, and e-commerce. The company also benefited from continued investments in digital technologies, fleet modernization, and operational efficiency initiatives that enhanced service reliability and customer satisfaction.

During the quarter, TCI continued to strengthen its multimodal logistics network by leveraging road, rail, coastal shipping, and warehousing capabilities to provide end-to-end supply chain solutions. The company maintained its focus on expanding value-added logistics services while optimizing transportation costs and improving asset utilization.

Management stated that India’s growing infrastructure investments, rising industrial production, and increasing adoption of organized logistics services are expected to support business growth in the coming quarters. Continued implementation of government initiatives aimed at improving logistics efficiency and reducing supply chain costs is also expected to create new opportunities for the sector.

Industry analysts noted that TCI’s diversified service portfolio and nationwide logistics network position the company well to capitalize on increasing demand for integrated supply chain solutions. With sustained investments in technology, sustainability, and capacity expansion, TCI is expected to remain well placed to benefit from India’s expanding manufacturing base and growing domestic and international trade.
