Two export block trains carrying consignments of starch and kraft paper were flagged off from ICD Modinagar on Thursday, marking a significant development in strengthening India’s manufacturing and export logistics network.

The movement highlights the growing global demand for Indian-made products and underscores the increasing role of integrated rail-based logistics solutions in supporting large-scale exports. Industry stakeholders said the successful movement reflects the strength of India’s industrial base and the importance of efficient multimodal supply chains in ensuring timely cargo movement to international markets.

The operation was supported by logistics partners Emirates Shipping Line and 3Line Shipping, whose collaboration facilitated the export.

The latest export train movement is expected to further boost cargo evacuation from inland container depots and improve connectivity between manufacturing centres and gateway ports, offering exporters enhanced access to global trade routes.
