Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) has enhanced connectivity between China and Thailand with the introduction of the new China Laem Chabang Service (CHL2).

The service will be launched on 10 January 2025, and aims to further optimise OOCL’s network coverage between East China, South China and Thailand, featuring competitive transit times and enhancing service reliability alongside the existing CHL suite services.

CHL2 is tailored to support the growing trade demands between these dynamic markets.

According to OOCL, the CHL2 port rotation is: Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Nansha – Laem Chabang – Shekou – Shanghai

Recently, OOCL unveiled a brand new 16,828 TEU container vessel, the ‘OOCL Iris’.
