Tuticorin witnessed a vibrant convergence of industry and opportunity today as Shri Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, Deputy Chairperson, inaugurated the Buyer-Seller Meet 2025 at the THUDITSSIA Industrial Exhibition.
The event brought together local entrepreneurs, industry representatives, and potential buyers under one roof, aiming to strengthen market linkages and open new avenues for trade. Shri Soundararajan, accompanied by senior Port officials, visited several stalls showcasing products from local small-scale industries (SSIs).
During his interactions, he engaged with business owners, discussing challenges, opportunities, and the export potential of their innovations. From value-added marine products to engineering components and handcrafted goods, the exhibition highlighted the diversity and quality of Tuticorin’s industrial output.
Shri Soundararajan lauded the efforts of THUDITSSIA (Tuticorin District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association) in fostering industrial growth, skill development, and market access for small enterprises. He emphasised that events like these not only boost local economic activity but also position Tuticorin as a key contributor to India’s export ambitions.
The Buyer-Seller Meet is expected to facilitate direct business connections, enabling SSIs to tap into larger markets and attract investment. Industry leaders present at the event noted that the collaborative atmosphere could lead to several partnerships in the coming months.
With its focus on innovation, networking, and growth, the THUDITSSIA Industrial Exhibition 2025 stands as a testament to Tuticorin’s entrepreneurial spirit and its role in driving regional development.
