Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, has marked an exceptional week with two major operational milestones, reinforcing its position as one of India’s most efficient and future-ready ports.
In a significant leap toward green cargo handling, DPA set a new 24-hour discharge record of 15,687 CBM of pine logs on the vessel MV TOMINI SOLANO at Berth CJ-14. The entire operation was powered by EV loaders, underscoring the port’s growing focus on sustainable, low-emission logistics.
The achievement was enabled by meticulous planning, sharp coordination, and the consistent performance of on-ground teams.
Key Figures – MV TOMINI SOLANO (CJ-14):
1. Total cargo handled: 23,455.81 JCBM (23,991 pcs)
2. Average discharge rate: ≈11,546 JCBM/day (≈481 JCBM/hr)
Special recognition was extended to Synergy/Swayam Shipping for their flawless execution and sustained operational excellence even beyond the record window.
Adding to the momentum, IOCL’s LPG Terminal at DPA achieved its highest-ever monthly performance, handling 15 LPG tankers and 2,70,551 MT of cargo as of 27 November 2025 — surpassing the previous record of 14 tankers set in March 2024. The terminal is now expected to close the month at 17 tankers, signaling strong demand and enhanced operational capability.
Together, these achievements highlight Deendayal Port’s expanding capacity, rising efficiency, and commitment to greener, high-performance port operations — setting new benchmarks for the maritime and logistics ecosystem.
