COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, in partnership with COSCO SHIPPING (West Asia) and Saudi Ports Services & Storage Co., Ltd. (PSS), has formally signed a joint venture agreement in Dammam, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in the Middle East.

The agreement paves the way for the establishment of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers’ first integrated, multi-functional supply chain hub in Saudi Arabia. Strategically located in Dammam, the new hub is designed to enhance end-to-end logistics services, strengthen regional supply chain resilience, and support growing trade flows between China, Saudi Arabia, and the wider West Asia region.

The initiative aligns closely with China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing connectivity, industrial development, and sustainable economic growth. By combining COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers’ global maritime and project logistics expertise with local operational strengths, the joint venture is expected to play a pivotal role in facilitating balanced global trade and long-term China–Saudi economic cooperation.

With this milestone, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers reinforces its Middle East strategy and underscores its confidence in Saudi Arabia as a regional logistics and supply chain hub. The company plans to further deepen its presence across Saudi Arabia and West Asia, optimize fleet deployment, and expand value-added supply chain solutions in line with evolving customer needs.

The new venture reflects COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers’ enduring commitment to innovation and reliability in global logistics, guided by its mission to “Ship the impossible, Perfect the possible.”
