CMA CGM and Maersk have realigned their jointly operated SEAS3/ASAS2 service connecting the Far East with the east coast of South America, as part of ongoing efforts to optimise network efficiency and vessel deployment.
The revised service rotation is aimed at improving schedule reliability, enhancing port coverage and better aligning capacity with market demand on the Asia–South America East Coast trade. The carriers said the adjustments would also help streamline transit times and improve connectivity for key export and import cargo flows.
The SEAS3/ASAS2 service plays a critical role in linking major Asian manufacturing hubs with Brazil and other east coast South American markets, supporting commodities, industrial cargo and consumer goods.
Both CMA CGM and Maersk continue to fine-tune their service networks amid shifting trade patterns, capacity management strategies and customer requirements, with further adjustments expected as market conditions evolve.
