Lufthansa Cargo is expanding its A321 freighter operations across Europe and Africa, enhancing its capacity for time-sensitive and e-commerce shipments.

The airline said the additional freighter flights will serve new destinations and increase frequency on key trade lanes, enabling faster and more flexible air cargo solutions for regional customers. The expansion also leverages the A321’s fuel efficiency and ability to access smaller airports, improving connectivity in underserved markets.

Industry experts noted that the move aligns with growing demand for intra-European and Africa-Europe air freight, particularly for pharmaceuticals, perishables, and express goods, while supporting Lufthansa Cargo’s strategy to optimize its narrow-body freighter fleet.
