In a significant move aimed at strengthening India’s energy logistics ecosystem, Adani Logistics Limited (ALL), a subsidiary of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ), has entered into a strategic agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).

Under the partnership, ALL will upgrade and expand infrastructure at the Petroleum Oil Lubricant (POL) terminal in Kanech, Ludhiana. The development is designed to address rising demand for petroleum storage and handling, while improving operational efficiency, turnaround time, and supply reliability.

The enhanced terminal infrastructure will support streamlined inventory management, improved safety standards, and scalable capacity to meet future growth in energy consumption. Industry observers view the collaboration as a critical step toward modernising inland energy logistics, particularly in North India, where demand for refined petroleum products continues to rise.

The partnership underscores the shared commitment of APSEZ and RIL to strengthening India’s energy backbone through integrated, technology-driven supply chain solutions. By combining Adani Logistics’ multimodal capabilities with RIL’s extensive energy operations, the initiative is expected to deliver more resilient and future-ready logistics infrastructure.

The agreement also aligns with broader national efforts to modernise supply chains and enhance energy security through private sector-led infrastructure investments.
