The company is partnering with industry stakeholders and technology providers to implement measures aimed at protecting workers and improving on-site conditions.
The initiative focuses on deploying heat mitigation strategies such as improved ventilation systems, shaded work areas, and the use of cooling equipment and wearable devices to monitor workers’ health in real time. Training programmes and revised work schedules are also being introduced to reduce exposure during peak heat hours.
With shipbuilding involving physically demanding tasks often carried out in open or semi-covered environments, prolonged exposure to high temperatures has become a growing concern.
