At a significant moment for port operations, Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairman of Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), interacted with Shramiks during the handling of a major wheat export consignment, underscoring the critical role of workforce welfare and operational safety.

The engagement took place alongside the successful handling of 22,000 metric tonnes of bulk wheat aboard MV Theresa, marking the first wheat export from DPA since 2022. The milestone reflects a revival in bulk agricultural exports through the port and highlights DPA’s growing operational capabilities.

During the interaction, the Chairman emphasized that Shramiks remain the “Partners in Progress,” reiterating the port’s commitment to ensuring safe working conditions, addressing daily needs, and continuously improving the working environment.

The achievement not only demonstrates efficient coordination across teams but also signals renewed momentum in export activity at Deendayal Port, strengthening its position in India’s maritime trade landscape.
