India and Oman have discussed expanding cooperation in ports and maritime logistics, with both sides exploring opportunities for greater participation of Indian companies in the development and operation of Oman’s port infrastructure projects. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral maritime connectivity, trade facilitation, and logistics collaboration.
Officials from both countries reviewed opportunities in container terminals, cargo handling, warehousing, coastal shipping, and multimodal logistics networks. Oman highlighted its strategic location along major international shipping routes and invited Indian participation in ongoing and upcoming port and industrial development initiatives.
The talks also covered strengthening supply chain integration between Indian ports and Omani logistics hubs to support trade flows across West Asia, Africa, and Europe. Industry observers said deeper maritime cooperation between India and Oman could enhance regional connectivity, support energy and commodity trade, and create new opportunities for Indian logistics and infrastructure companies.
